Don’t forget to adjust your clocks on Sunday, 2:00am. Daylight Savings Time (DST)starts on March 11.
What is DST? DST is when you advance clocks by an hour to take advantage of the extended daylight hours in the the evenings. We think it kinda sucks to lose an hour of sleep, but then again we also gain an hour of sleep at the end of DST.
Not all countries observe DST, but those that do adjust their clocks close to the start of spring, like Canada. DST is also referred to as Spring Forward.
It’s usually pretty rough on everyone, with the time change being compared to jet lag. It’s even made worse when you have kids, who are just as affected by the time change as adults are.
Unless you live in Saskatchewan, where people don’t really care much about DST.
Mobile phones will make the adjustment automagically, but you will have to adjust the clocks in your car, microwave and pretty much anything else that isn’t connected to the internet.
Don’t forget, Sunday, March 11 at 2:00am. You can adjust your clocks when you wake up, NBD.
