This is a developing story: the Government of Canada has confirmed that it will take back its trash back to its country six years after first arriving in the Philippines.

A spokesperson for Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland has confirmed that the Government of Canada is making a formal offer to the Philippine Government to take back more than six dozen containers of trash.
