Sources from the Philippine Consulate General in Toronto has reported that Consul General ConGen Rosalita Prospero has died.
ABOUT CONSUL GENERAL ROSALITA PROSPERO
Coming from a family of educators, ConGen Rosalita Prospero chose a different path, starting her career as a contributor for sports magazine Supershots in the 1980s before joining the public service.
ConGen Rosalita Prospero started working for government as an international science relations officer for the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
She later joined the ranks of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), which led her assignment to the Consulate General in Toronto.
Prospero was known by the Filipino community in Greater Toronto Area as a professional diplomat, always looking for new ways to strengthen relationships between the Philippine Consulate and community groups.
Prospero has served as Consul General in Toronto since 2015.
Prior to her diplomatic posting in Canada, Prospero served in Sydney, Australia and Paris, France.
The Philippine Consulate has not released the cause of death, nor has funeral arrangement details have been made public.
