Filipino actress Kim Chiu is currently in Canada visiting family. Her sister, Twinkle and her brother, John Paul both live in Victoria, British Columbia. On a recent vlog post, Chiu spoke about her brother’s success in Canada.

During this trip, Chiu was introduced to John Paul’s girlfriend Vanessa for the first time.

KIM CHIU HAPPY FOR BROTHER’S SUCCESS IN CANADA

Chiu’s brother recently became a licensed pilot, so he took her on a nice ride on his plane at the Victoria Flying Club.

Chiu spoke about how happy she was for her little brother.

“I’m so proud, nakakaiyak, para akong magulang right now and I’m just so happy with my brother John Paul and where he is right now. Nag shades na lang ako para di niya malaman na. Naiiyak ako sa achievements niya. Dati, as in, hindi niya talaga alam kung anong gagawin niya in life, but now nahanap na niya kung anong gusto niyang gawin and anong gusto niya maging and other than that is nahanap niya na rin yung laman ng puso niya,” Chiu said.

Chiu went all in for the whole tourist experience, going to Butchart Gardens to take in all the greenery, as well as Fisherman’s Wharf for food and whale watching.

Chiu also took the time to visit the sunflower garden in Vancouver.

“Sobra akong nag enjoy sa stay ko, everyone is sobrang fun kasama (I really enjoyed my stay here, everyone was fun to be with). I’m very happy that I decided to do a side trip dito sa Canada and to visit of course my little brother John Paul,” she said.

“It’s my second time na lumipad ng airplane kasama siya, so sobra akong na-proud after everything, na ayaw ko siyang maging pilot, but still pinush niya talaga.”

KIM CHIU REMAINS SUPPORTIVE OF BROTHER IN CANADA

“Nagtiwala kami, sinuportahan namin siya and now I’m so proud on where he is right now. I’m not sad pero naiiyak lang ako,” she said.

“To sum up this entire trip, I must say that family always comes first and ang Pilipino no matter what tumagal dun sa isang lugar, or 10, 15 years or ilang years ka na, pag magkita-kita yung mga Pilipino parang magkakilala kayo and you feel like you’re home even though magkaiba kayo ng pinagtirhan.”
