Centennial College opens its first recruitment office in the Philippines

Are you thinking about going to Canada as an International Student? Centennial College just opened their first office in Manila.


The new International Education Philippines Office was opened at the Corinthian Plaza on Paseo de Roxas in Makati City.

Attending the opening reception were representatives from the Technological Institute of the Philippines, De La Salle University-Dasmarinas and Mapua University.

Representatives from Canadian educational institutions were also present, including Humber College, Canadore College, Fleming College, Fanshawe College and University Canada West.

Also in attendance were representatives from the Embassy of Canada in Manila, the Trade Commissioner for Education and the president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.


Centennial’s International Education Philippines Office will help connect Filipinos with student recruitment partners and Canadian colleges including Fanshawe College and Fleming College.

The International Education Philippines Office will support the Government of Canada’s International Education Strategy.

The International Education Philippines Office will host information sessions on the Canadian education system, career oriented programs available at Centennial College and opportunities for Filipinos to study and work in Canada.

Centennial College already has 11 international education offices, including in China, Vietnam, South Korea, India, Mexico and Panama.


The number of Filipinos going to Canada to study as international students has grown from just 15 in 2015 to 565 in 2019.

Centennial College’s programs are in high demand, with the opening of the International Education Philippines Office demonstrating the college’s commitment to the Philippines.

The International Education Philippines Office will help establish pathways for Filipinos to explore opportunities to go to Canada as international students of its academic programs, through partnerships with Filipino educational institutions, community organizations and industries.


Centennial was founded in 1966 as a public college in Toronto, Ontario.

From its humble beginnings as a local community college, Centennial College has become of the most preferred learning institutions for international students in Canada.

Centennial supports a full time student enrolment of 27,000 students including 13,566 international student from 126 countries.

Centennial College is known around the world for its high standards of teaching, innovative programs and extensive partnerships.

Over the years, Centennial College has differentiated itself by aggressively seeking to increase its international student population through recruitment.

At present, Centennial College has partnered with 88 institutions around the world, offering two four-year degree programs, and three joint-degree programs with the University of Toronto and Ryerson University.

Programs at Centennial rely on experiential learning with laboratory instruction, as well as cooperative education and indsustry placements.

With seven different academic schools each with its own specialization, Centennial College offers more than 300 programs including:

Arts and Design
Community and Health Services
Culinary Arts
Engineering Technology and Applied Science

Centennial also offers English Language Learning (ELL) and foundations programs to help international students prepare for college and university..
