If you’re a fan of the TV show Friends, you might remember the episode called “The One with the Cake”, where the guys are celebrating Emma’s first birthday. Friends left Netflix Canada on New Years Day 2020.
Season 10 Episode 4 of Friends show the guys recording messages for Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Ross’ (David Schwimmer) daughter, Emma, who is celebrating her first birthday.
In the episode, Chandler (played by Canadian actor Matthew Perry) is pretty angry that he had to delay a trip with Monica (Courteney Cox) because the party couldn’t get started due to Emma taking a nap.
Ross is recording a message from each of their friends, which he wants her to see on her 18th birthday.
Chandler starts off his birthday greeting by saying “Hi, Emma. It’s the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?”‘
FRIENDS LEAVES NETFLIX CANADA IN 2020
The hit TV show, which has been on Netflix Canada since 2015, will stop airing on January 1, 2020.
It had remained popular on the streaming service ever since.
Effective New Year’s Day, Friends will no longer be available on Netflix. The streaming giant lost out to WarnerMedia for the rights to the show in July 2019. Reports indicate that WarnerMedia had paid up to USD500 million for the rights to stream Friends.
If you want to watch it by streaming, you’ll have to wait until May 2020, when it will premier on HBO Max.
If you can’t wait that long, you can either buy digital copies on services like iTunes or pick up physical copies at Walmart.
Or you can still catch episodes of Friends on regular television, since it’s a syndicated show.
FRIENDS ACTRESSES WHO PLAYED BABY EMMA ACTUALLY TURN 18 IN 2020
That episode of Friends actually turned out to be pretty accurate.
The actresses who played the role of Rachel and Ross’ baby were twins IRL.
Cali Sheldon and Noelle Sheldon are American actresses, and twins, who both played the role of baby Emma in the TV show.
They are celebrating their birthday on June 17, 2020 when they both turn 18 years old, just like in the show.
Both are still very much actresses, last seen in the hit movie, Us.
