Former New York City mayor (and currently Donald Trump personal attorney Rudy Giuliani isn’t the only politician to make a cameo in Sacha Baron Cohen‘s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm, the sequel to his highly successful Borat. Guess who else made cameos in Borat 2?
CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER MOCKED IN BORAT 2
Borat 2 opens with a look back with what Borat had been up to in the last 14 years.
It then makes mention of US President Barack Obama, describing him as an evil man who “stood against all American values”.
According to Borat 2, the evil American president’s rise to power “led to other Africans becoming political leaders”, including Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The movie then cuts to a photo of Trudeau in brownface.
Baron Cohen, who is well known to partake in political satire, makes fun of Trudeau with the mention.
It wasn’t too long ago that national headlines were dominated by the photos of the prime minister in brown face.
Trudeau had issued repeated apologies after photos and videos of him in brown face during the election campaign.
The images, which were taken during an Arabian Nights-themed party when Trudeau was 29 years old, shocked Canadians.
A video was also anonymously released, showing Trudeau in brownface.
“I made a mistake when I was younger and I wish I hadn’t,” Trudeau said. “I should have known better then, but I didn’t. And I did it. And I am deeply sorry for it.”
PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT ALSO MAKES CAMEO
Borat 2 also mentions US president Donald Trump, a “magnificent new premier who rose to power and made America great again”.
The Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte is seen holding hands with the US president during the APEC summit in 2015.
Borat 2 says that the US President “McDonald Trump” also “made buddies with tough guy leaders across the world”, while showing photos of Trump and Duterte.
