Carolyn Fe – Canadian actress plays Lola in new Blue’s Clues

Canadian actress Carolyn Fe is joining Blue’s Clues as host Josh de la Cruz‘s grandmother on the Nickelodeon series Blue’s Clues and You!.

The Montreal, QC-based musician and actress was born in Quezon City. She speaks Tagalog, French and English.

ABOUT CAROLYN FE

Fe’s band the Fe and the Carolyn Fe Blues Collective released their first EP 100% in 2008, followed by their first album Original Sin in 2011.

Fe’s band raised more than CAD$300,000 for the Red Cross in their efforts to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in 2013.

Fe has since released more music since then, Bad Taboo in 2014 and Sugat Ko in 2018.

Fe was awarded the Toronto Critic’s Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a housekeeper in Calpurnia.

Blues Clues isn’t the first time Fe has played the role of grandmother.

She played the role in Through the Bamboo, which premiered at the Toronto Fringe Festival as well as Hilot Means Healer at the Theatre Centre in 2019.

Fe has also tried her hand at directing during Altera Vitae‘s production of Martin Sherman’s Bent in 2009.

LOLA MEANS GRANDMOTHER

Fe will make her debut as Josh’s Lola on the Blue’s Clues & You! premiere on Friday, November 20, 2020 on Nickelodeon.

Now on its second season, Blue’s Clues and You! will continue to share Filipino culture with a new generation of fans.

The current show features American actor Josh de la Cruz.

De la Cruz is the third host of the show, replacing Steve Burns and Donovan Patton.
